The Academic Technology Center (ATC) is the office in charge of technological hardware and media on campus. (The software side of the equation is largely handled by NetOps and the CCC.) The ATC main office is located on the first floor of Fuller Laboratories, although they have a second office in the basement as well.

ServicesEdit

Everything from classroom projectors to the laptops available at the Campus Center and Gordon Library are administered by the ATC. The office also handles poster printing, oversees the Media Lab in Gordon Library, issues cellphones to students going abroad for MQPs, records video footage of graduation ceremonies, and performs countless other services on campus.

The ATC also administers the Advanced Distance Learning Network, or ADLN, which allows students all over the world to take distance-learning classes at WPI. There is a classroom on the first floor of Fuller Labs, equipped with cameras and computer terminals at every desk, that is dedicated to ADLN classes.

HistoryEdit

The ATC was formerly called the Instructional Media Center, or IMC, but was renamed to better reflect its focus.
